Jing Liu named finalist in EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2025
We are proud to share that our CEO and founder, Jing Liu, has been named a finalist in EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2025 for the South region of Sweden. The award recognises entrepreneurs who drive innovation, growth, and positive impact in their industries.
20 years ago, Jing founded BPC Instruments based on a research idea developed at Lund University. Since then, the company has grown into a listed Swedish-based global business with customers in 90 countries. Our instruments are used worldwide to optimise biogas production, assess the biodegradability of materials, and support the shift toward a more sustainable future.
Under Jing’s leadership, BPC has established a strong reputation for innovation, quality, and scientific credibility. What started as a small research-driven project has developed into a trusted partner for laboratories, universities, and industrial facilities working to improve the efficiency and sustainability of their processes.
Today, BPC’s instruments help shape progress in areas such as renewable energy, biodegradable materials, and waste management – fields that play an essential role in the transition toward a circular economy.
“It’s an honour to be recognised among so many impressive entrepreneurs,” says Jing Liu. “This nomination represents not only my personal journey but also the dedication of our entire team at BPC Instruments. Together, we have turned a scientific idea into a growing international business that contributes to a more sustainable future.”
About the award
EY Entrepreneur Of The Year is one of the world’s most prestigious programmes celebrating entrepreneurial achievements. The competition is held in more than 60 countries and aims to recognise leaders who combine purpose, innovation, and sustainable growth.
Each year, ten finalists are selected in six Swedish regions following a thorough nomination and interview process. Regional winners advance to the national final, held in Stockholm City Hall in March 2026, where Sweden’s Entrepreneur Of The Year will be announced.
The South region final will take place in Lund on 11 November, where an independent jury consisting of business leaders and former award winners will select the regional winners.
