What changes with AMPTS® III?

More samples in each run
The standard AMPTS® III has 18 channels, compared with 15 on AMPTS® II. That means more room for samples, blanks or replicates in the same experiment.
Broader range of applications
AMPTS® III goes beyond BMP testing. It can also be used for biogas potential, SMA, RGP and other batch fermentation tests. The system supports methane, total biogas and other fermentation gases, including applications involving water soluble gases.
BMP calculations during the experiment
Aurora 1.4 calculates BMP as measurements arrive. Group your samples and follow their progress while the test is running, with calculated results included in your reports.
More control over your data
Adjust gas normalisation settings and download raw data for further analysis. Aurora 1.4 also provides an open API for connecting experiment data to other systems.

Keep your AMPTS® II and bring it up to date
For €5,000, BPC Next Extend updates selected electronics and components in your existing AMPTS® II so it can run Aurora 1.4 while keeping the current 15 channel configuration.

Eligibility depends on the instrument and its condition. Send us the serial number and we will confirm which options are available.
What does BPC® Next Extend include?
Selected electronics and components are updated so your existing AMPTS® II can run Aurora 1.4 while keeping its current 15 channel configuration.
How much does Extend cost?
BPC® Next Extend costs €5,000, subject to confirmation that the instrument is eligible.
How much credit will I receive towards AMPTS® III?
The credit depends on the individual instrument and its condition. We confirm the amount after assessment.
How much downtime should I expect?
This depends on the selected option, instrument and location. Timing and practical arrangements are confirmed before the work begins.
What happens to my AMPTS® II if I choose Upgrade?
We plan the changeover together to minimise downtime in your laboratory. Once your AMPTS® II is returned, we take care of the instrument, refurbishing reusable parts where possible and recycling the remaining components responsibly.
Can I choose Extend now and move to AMPTS® III later?
Yes. If your needs change later, you can move to AMPTS® III. Any future credit and commercial terms are assessed at that time.
Is BPC® Next available for other BPC instruments?
