Aurora 1.4 brings real-time BMP and open API access

Andreas Nirvald Andreas Nirvald, Marketing & Communications Manager

We’re thrilled to release the latest update to our software – Aurora 1.4. Now available as a free update for every BPC Instruments system running our software. It adds real-time BMP calculations for all AMPTS® III models.

An open API, nine interface languages and improved use on phones and tablets bring new capabilities across the wider Aurora platform.

Follow BMP results as your experiment runs

One of the major features in this update is live BMP calculations. Users of AMPTS® III and AMPTS® III Light, including DUO configurations, can now create sample groups directly in the experiment view. Once the groups are in place, Aurora™ calculates and displays the biochemical methane potential as new measurements come in.

The calculated values are also included in generated reports. This removes the need to perform the same calculations separately and lets you follow differences between samples before the experiment has finished.

Connect Aurora with your other systems

Many of you have asked for API access, and we are pleased to make it available in Aurora 1.4. The new open API allows Aurora to integrate seamlessly with your existing systems and applications.

Instrument data can be retrieved directly through the API, opening up new possibilities for automated workflows, custom dashboards and connections to laboratory information management systems, LIMS, or other software platforms.

Full API documentation is available through BPC Academy. It can also be accessed directly from an instrument by entering the following address in a web browser:

http://<device IP>/api

Biogas, Biogás, or 沼气

However you say it, Aurora is now available in nine languages, allowing you work with the interface in the language you prefer:

  • Chinese
  • English
  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Portuguese
  • Spanish
  • Swedish

Improved access from phones and tablets

Aurora 1.4 also introduces a more responsive interface for smartphones and tablets. Experiment data and results are now easier to view when working away from a desktop computer.
