The Gas Endeavour at the European Federation of Animal Science meeting
We took our Gas Endeavour to Belfast, UK, for the EAAP 2016 on August 29 – September 3, when over 1400 participants representing both academia and the industry gathered from 59 countries. There were 700 presentations and 450 posters on various topics, such as: genetics and precision breeding, livestock and climate change, dairy and beef production, grazing and feed evaluation systems.
We also had interesting visits to an animal feed manufacturer and a research site for pigs and poultry. At our booth, our new system for an already established method to measure gas production during fermentation for feed evaluation sparked an interest among visitors. We were recognised as familiar faces from other animal feed conferences this year. (Link to event: EAAP 2016)
