Talking bioplastics in Valencia 🇪🇸

This week, BPC attended the II International Seminar on Biotechnology Applied to the Plastics Sector, a two-day event organised by AIMPLAS, a valued client of ours.

Spain is an important hub for bioplastics, and the event brought together experts to discuss current challenges and opportunities in the plastics sector in line with the European Union’s sustainability goals, focusing on biodegradability, enzymatic recycling, and circular economy solutions.

Jing Liu and Elton Melo, PhD spoke in the Plastics Biodegradability Enhancement session, sharing their perspective on biodegradability analysis. It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas with researchers and industry professionals, and it led to several conversations that we look forward to continuing.
